Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dr Gears Studio Kft. (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with our games (including Dr. Gears) and this website. We take a minimal approach: our games are designed to be played offline, they do not require an account and we do not ask you for any personal data.
1. Data controller
Dr Gears Studio Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft.
Registered office: Bogdánfy utca 5. A. épület 4. em. 16. ajtó, 1117 Budapest, Hungary
Company registration no.: 01-09-180941 · Tax no.: 24761417-1-43

2. Data we do not collect
Our games do not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or any other information that directly identifies you. Game progress, settings and levels you create are stored locally on your device. If you choose to share a level you created, it is shared through your device’s own sharing function (e.g. e-mail or a messaging app) and is not sent to us.
3. Analytics
Some of our games may include an analytics service, such as Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We use it only to understand how our games are used in aggregate, so that we can fix problems and improve gameplay (for example, which levels are too difficult).
When analytics is active, the following information may be collected automatically:
- a random app-instance identifier and, where permitted by your device settings, an advertising identifier;
- device and system information (device model, operating system version, language, screen size);
- approximate (country/region-level) location derived from the IP address;
- in-game events (e.g. app start, level started/completed, session length).
We do not use this information to identify you, we do not combine it with other data, we do not sell it and we do not use it for personalised advertising.
Legal basis: your consent where it is required by law (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our games (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can opt out at any time by disabling the corresponding option in the game (where available), by resetting or limiting your advertising identifier in your device settings, or by uninstalling the game.
Retention: analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months and then deleted automatically.
International transfers: Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: Google Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
4. App stores
When you download a game from an app store (e.g. Google Play or the Apple App Store) or make an in-app purchase, the store operator processes your data under its own privacy policy. We only receive anonymous, aggregated sales and download statistics from them; payment details are never shared with us.
5. Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your name, contact details and the content of your message solely to answer your request (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep this correspondence for up to 2 years after the matter is closed, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. The web host may record standard server logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) for security and operation purposes; these are deleted within 30 days. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and transmits your IP address to Google.
7. Children
Our games are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Analytics data, where present, is collected in anonymous form and is not used for advertising.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, we may need additional information from you (for example, an app-instance identifier) to fulfil such a request. Please write to info@drgearsstudio.com; we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH – Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11. · Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.
Phone: +36 1 391 1400 · E-mail: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu · Web: naih.hu
If you live in another EU/EEA country, you may also contact the data protection authority of your country of residence.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features to our games. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date shown at the top.
